Covers need to bring something new to the table, even if it’s as simple as shifting the atmosphere a bit, which is exactly what Squire does. While both songs are instantly recognizable, there’s a light-handed bit of intoxication to each of these numbers that simply coats my mind with delicious wasted visions of marmalade skies and cellophane flowers that are impossible to deny, causing a sly smile to inch across my face.
Sad that these songs are not like their other material.
